give in to today... give in. i want you to know... when i said time means nothing, what i meant is not all is lost. give in to today... give in. i want you to know... give in. when i said it will all be forgotten, what i meant is we're just tryin'... dyin' one heartbeat at a time, seconds slipping by so give in...

i'm not the kind of boy to break a heart but if you make me i will tear you apart please understand that's not the way that i want it... you've got to make the call. if there's a way i can explain to you, another door that i can help you through, and not to say that it means nothing to you... you've got to make the call. tearin' on my heartstrings again... this is not fair, this is not where play it off as nothing with my pen this is not you, this can't be true. open the door and make the call. i'm not the kind of man to fake a stance. if you see through me it's your own looking glass. please understand we cannot leave this to chance. you've got to make the call. tearin' on my heartstrings again... this is not not fair, this is not where. open the door and the call. you've got to make the call. i'm not the kind of boy to break a heart but if you make me i will tear you apart please understand that's not the way that i want it... you've got to make the call.

she danced away across a maze. i watched and held my breath. words spilled from her lips. there was no taking them back. the song inside the bar catches her ear. how seconds when they fall, can feel like years. let's take it slow, the night is young. it's ours to leave behind. whisper what you said again, make it every bit as real let's take it slow, the night is young. it's ours to leave behind. the night is young...

about

dearest friends, family, and fellow creators...

After years of producing fellow artists, collaborating on many projects and taking a break from my own music, the winds of inspiration are strong, and I'm anxious to share what I've been working on with you.

Today, I'm excited to introduce you to "salt, sea, and smoke".  This album is not only a collection of new songs, but also a collection of experiences and the deep rooted desire to capture something in the moment.

I hunkered down in the beautiful hills of Ojai, in the company of a couple bottles of red, my smith corona typewriter, my polaroid and 35mm cameras, and my Martin-0015 Acoustic, then just wrote and captured away. Stream of consciousness, pulling from years of notes, memos, ideas, experiences...  From there I assembled a group of talented friends and collaborators, headed to Seattle to lay down the basic tracks at London Bridge Studios, then eventually back down to Lost Angels to wrap it all up.

I decided to split this album up into three EP's that will be released over the next six months, eventually combining to make up the entire record, which will be assembled on vinyl in the Spring.

“salt”, the first of the three EP's, is available to listen to today on
Soundcloud and Bandcamp, with Spotify, iTunes, and everywhere else you can hear music soon to follow.

Also out today is the Official Trailer for “The Journey”, a documentary shot by A.M. Bushe that explores the process of making this record.  "Coming soon…"

Lastly, in December I will be hitting the road on a short tour of the west coast.  Some dates are up now, with more to be announced soon.

This project was a labor and a journey of love, and I absolutely cannot wait to share it with you.
